Expectation

I’ve honestly been wanting to do this for years. Even if it’s just a journal for myself to look back on, this finally feels like the perfect time to start.

I’m hoping to share more of what’s to come, even on a daily /weekly/monthly basis.

Hoping to write these with more of a mood and style in anticipation/expectation. This should hopefully hold less of that “social media” kinda pressure, which really gets to me. It has always felt a tad too “braggy” but I do understand that there is a time and place for it 💪🏻.

It’s been such a weird mix of emotions this year.

Keiko’s record releases today. It has been my Covid lockdown project which has been incredible to work on. Excited for it to be heard 🙌🏻.

I’m also REALLY excited about a tech project I’ve been working on. I’m hoping to share more soon but for now I can tell you that it’s a piece of equipment for recording/mixing and mastering that should add some lovely colour and vibe into my fellow producer/engineer friends’ workflow.

Highs like this are countered with the memory and loss of my Pops back in April. We’re just happy he isn’t suffering like he was, and is now free to be at peace.

On another note, loads of people have been asking me to upload my old ‘Rustiband’ albums to streaming platforms etc. I’m planning on doing this soonest! I have a little gap between my next big project so I’m hoping to dive in early next week. I want to remaster it but am struggling to find one of the final unmastered mixes which I pulled off some OLD archive discs.

I’m feeling very grateful and hopeful for the months and years ahead.
Next big hurdle is the Tier 1 Global talent visa we are busy with. This would be a massive weight off the shoulders and would allow me to dive even deeper both here in the UK and globally.
