Anticipation

There is so much happening both in our world and the world around us!

We’re selling our house in SA, applying for a pretty serious visa, designing/building some audio gear, Trump has the Rona, Stace has been extra incredible, we’re going for a winter trip to Scotland in Jan (very excited!!!), Honda is leaving F1 at the end of 2021 AND my sister is getting married in a week! 🌈

These are just a few things that popped into mind this morning. Life seems loaded with such a weird mix of both opportunity and anxiety at the moment. 🤯

It feels like there’s a pretty mega shift happening and it’s far from comfy.

In Stace and my world it’s exciting to see what’s waiting around the next corner 🙌🏻.

In the world around us though, it is chaos. Do we think America will fall into civil war? Argh enough politics for one journal entry.

It’s actually nice just to focus on what we do have control of. Day by day at the moment. A few tasks and deliverables in the short term which will open up the mid to long term dreams if successful!

It kinda gives me peace knowing that the greater picture is out of my hands and all I can do is the best with what’s in front of me.

I’m just about to do some daily meditation/quiet time, which has been very good for the soul, especially this year. I can’t believe I didn’t make enough time during very busy periods before. Even as little as 10minutes is making such a difference to me. I’ve been using this great app called ‘Soultime’. A choice of background sound (I normally choose rain) and then some guided Christian meditation via audio. There is also loads of other stuff to help you sleep, stories, audio books etc. It’s kinda like the ‘Calm’ app but with a little more focus.🌄

About some more techie stuff. The main circuit board for “The Xxxx Xxxx” is pretty much done. Faceplate layout and design is finished. Just busy signing off on logo design with Stace which we’ll add to the faceplate and we’re good to send off!

I want to take this time to thank my good friend Saśa Ristić from BeeBird Audio (www.beebirdaudio.com) for partnering in the real geeky stuff! Please check them out if you are looking for custom outboard, Neve cards etc. He is my go to guy! Planning on taking a trip over to see him in March hopefully!

I met him online a few years ago when I was sourcing parts to build my Neve 1073’s. I’ll do a separate post on those soon as I’m close to being done collecting NOS (New Old Stock), vintage and identical new parts for a pair of 1084’s!

In summary though, I just wanted to share my feeling of quiet anticipation. I’m both nervous and excited for what the coming weeks/months will hold.

Have a great week peeps! Thanks again for reading.🧡
